Holy Quran reading pg.1-22

Ok ladies, I've completed the reading by Allahs grace and a few thoughts came to my mind, while reading chapter2 v. 6&7..." Those who disbelieve-it bieng alike to them whether thou warn them or warn them not-they will not believe..."Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing; and there is a covering on their eyes, and for them is a grevious chastisement."...
OK, so here's my initial thought... how can we as striving muslims be able to discern between disbelievers, such as the one mentioned in the verse above, and other striving believers? because I'm sure none of us want to be caught associating with muslims, whose heart has turned cold towards Islam!..
AND my next question is HOW do you recognize disbelief in your self and cure it? Because honestly, Im like at a point where I feel like I know that Islam is the only way, but sometimes in my actions I dont show it because I dont pray enough or I dont study enough, but I know that I LOVE Islam with all my heart sometimes I think I just get so content with where I am in my development that Im not inticed to study as I should be! Can ANYONE relate???
